The Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30–90mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. combines a universally versatile range of focal lengths with compact construction and low weight. It delivers high imaging performance throughout the entire focusing range to ensure flexible and fatigue-free photography, making it ideal for longer sessions.
Technical details
The optical design comprises 14 elements in four groups. Nine elements are made from glasses with anomalous partial dispersion. Three low-dispersion fluoride elements correct chromatic aberrations. Three lenses with aspherical surfaces maintain consistent imaging performance at shorter distances and contribute to the minimisation of distortion.
